Closing an Interstate


On Thursday morning at midnight, a one-mile portion of Interstate-40 through downtown Knoxville shutdown for a 14-month construction project.

I shot and edited this video of the closure. It was really awesome to watch up close and happened surprisingly quick and without noticeable problems.

A lone LSU fan crashed the Tennessee football team’s pep rally Friday afternoon, before the SEC championship game. Check it out now.

Walking across America

George Martin, a retired New York Giant, is walking across the country from New York to San Francisco to raise money for 9-11 charities. Martin’s journey through Tennessee will take about 40 days. He walked through Knoxville in November.

On Wednesday, local buyers placed winning bids for several Market Square buildings that were auctioned by the federal government. The properties include Preservation Pub, World Grotto, Oodles Uncorked, a vacant property on the corner of the Square and others.
