I’m working a few site upgrades and maintenance. I’ve been warned I may lose my templates, which took me forever to figure out initially. Hopefully, I’ll be upgraded without problems shortly.

I’ve gone on a few weekend trips recently, visiting both Cincinnati and Asheville, N.C. for the first time.

My mom was just in town and we went to Asheville to see the Biltmore Estate, George Vanderbilt’s home. Using headsets, we took a self-guided tour of the home’s interior, which was fantastic. Both mom and I are crazy about Renoir paintings and there were two inside one of the bedrooms! When we go back, I’d like to do the wine tasting and the roof-top tour.

As the work year draws to an end, I’m considering how to use the vacation days I have left. Obviously, I’d like to use a big chunk and go home for the holidays. But I don’t know what to do with what’s left.

Options thus far: Long weekend trips to New Orleans, Houston or NYC.
