The University of Tennessee took on Temple University (my Dad’s alma mater) Friday night in Knoxville at the newly renovated Thompson-Boling Arena. I was so impressed with the renovations, I had to share some photos:

The new jumbo-tron cost $3M!

Kudos to UT. The experience at the Arena really feels like you’re attending a professional sporting event.

On Wednesday, local buyers placed winning bids for several Market Square buildings that were auctioned by the federal government. The properties include Preservation Pub, World Grotto, Oodles Uncorked, a vacant property on the corner of the Square and others.

A decade ago, the sale of three properties on Market Square may have drawn a yawn. But with a resurgence in downtown Knoxville real estate, the auction of these properties at the end of the month could highlight downtown’s progress.

Business reporter, Josh Flory, and I worked on this video together as part of a video competition challenge for Scripps Web sites.

After many months of trying to think up a design for my site and then many attempts to execute those designs, I’ve decided to go the Wordpress route. I’ve had a lot on my plate recently, even though I don’t have much to show for it. Using a Wordpress template lets me get my site up and running for now.

The goal is to have a professional presence online. You can see what I’ve been up to at work by checking out my resume. Shortly, I’ll be creating a page for my projects to share more detail.
